About the Qibla

The Qibla is the direction Muslims face during salah — toward the Kaaba, the cubical structure at the center of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. This tool computes the great-circle bearing from your GPS position to the Kaaba (21.4225°N, 39.8262°E) and rotates a compass so the top of the screen always points north, with a golden arrow marking the Qibla.

How to use

  1. Tap Get my location and allow the location prompt.
  2. Tap Start Qibla compass and allow motion access on iOS.
  3. Hold your phone flat and rotate until the golden arrow points to the top of the screen.
