How does "What is my address?" work
When you allow location access, your browser returns your latitude and longitude from GPS, Wi-Fi or cell-tower data. This tool sends those coordinates to a public reverse-geocoding service and shows the matching street address. We do not store the result — refresh and it is gone.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is my address?
On a phone with GPS enabled outdoors, typical accuracy is 5–10 meters. Indoors or on a desktop without GPS, your browser falls back to Wi-Fi which can be hundreds of meters off.
Do you save my address?
No. The reverse-geocode happens in your browser and the result is never sent to our servers.
Why does it say the wrong address?
If the accuracy is low, the reverse-geocoder picks the nearest named address — which may be next door. Try again outdoors for a better GPS fix.
